The most pristine and impressive waterfalls
Costa Rica is a land of mountains and rivers, and waterfalls are scattered across its landscape. You can find them by the roadside, deep in the forest or tumbling down distant mountain slopes. Some are located within protected nature reserves, while others are nestled among farmland. Many aren’t even marked on maps; they’re too remote, too wild and too untouched. That’s where Into Nature comes in.
On our carefully chosen routes, you will visit several pristine, lesser-known waterfalls, places that remain off the radar for most travellers. One of our hidden gems is located deep within the Osa Peninsula. The location? A secret. However, our guests are guided there to experience its untouched beauty in silence and awe.
Other stunning waterfalls await near Dos Bocas, and the famous Nauyaca Falls, one of the country’s most breathtaking, can still be visited during quieter times of the day. Yes, they are well-known and increasingly busy, but we’ll tell you exactly when to go so you feel like you have them all to yourself.
What defines a truly special waterfall for us?
One that is unspoilt and surrounded by rainforest, with clear water that is warm enough to swim in.
A must-see for nature lovers is the turquoise Río Celeste in Volcán Tenorio National Park, which is of course also included in Into Nature journeys.
