The tour starts on a serene river and takes you through a labyrinth of mangroves near the river’s mouth, where an abundance of wildlife resides. The 8-kilometre route is paddled over roughly three hours and is carefully timed with the ocean tides. Some of the most unforgettable moments occur in the narrow mangrove tunnels, where the forest closes in around you, and there is barely enough space for your kayak; it feels like another world.
